Ben Werdmuller

Ben Werdmuller co-founded Elgg, one of the first social intranet platforms, which was used by organizations like Harvard, Oxfam, and the World Bank. He was the west coast Director of Investments at Matter Ventures, where he sourced and invested in startups with the potential to create a more informed, inclusive, and empathetic society. He taught venture design thinking as part of Matter's accelerator bootcamp. He was a senior engineer at Medium, the Geek in Residence at the Edinburgh Festivals Lab, and has spoken about mission-driven venture design around the world.
