Bio

For the last 35 years, Mr. Crispin has provided leadership in the Technology and Business Management fields. Industries include Defense, Education, Telecommunications, IT and Water Treatment. His responsibilities ranged from Strategic Planning to Implementation and Operations. His acumen has been to harness experience and skills to help companies plan and execute strategy, divestment, and mergers and acquisitions. His current venture is in Industrial water treatment.
Graham received his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Communications/Electronics from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1982 (equivalent to a BSEE with double major in Telecommunications and Electronics). Completed the RAAF Junior Officer Staff College in 1986. He was awarded the Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Adelaide in 1992 with a focus on International Business and Technology.
In the early 1980’s as a military officer he was a key person in the Australian Air Force’s procurement of Air Traffic Control Radars. He coordinated the in-service logistics planning and undertook the associated project planning. Other roles within the Australian Air Force included secure communications testing, aircraft operational maintenance, and aerospace engineering.
In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s as a senior project engineer with the Australian Defense Science Organization he coordinated the business aspects of a Research Division for financial and program planning as well as intellectual property management. Additionally, he managed systems projects at the cutting edge of Over-the-Horizon Radar.
Later, he led the entrepreneurial development of a program of innovative business-relevant post graduate courses for the Telecommunications and IT community combining the resources of industry and universities to achieve flexible delivery combining; videoconferencing, print and internet delivery modes. These efficient delivery mechanisms proved ROI while enhancing technical and engineering staff capabilities within the workplace to achieve measurable business objectives. Of note was ISO 9001 accreditation, likely a world first for an education organization.
Upon moving to USA he led a number of software projects for Fortune 1000 Clients, including turnaround Y2K and achieving SEI CMM level 3 accreditation. Lead in soliciting and proposing RFPs for software, program management offices and outsourcing for both Keane (NTT Data) and Decision Consultants (Ciber).
Mr. Crispin is well versed in strategic planning and execution of business acquisitions and divestment. His role in small market M&A provides businesses; the intrinsic growth, reduce uncertainty and capitalize on strategic opportunities.
He moved from Australia in October 1997, became a citizen of the United States in November 2005 and since January 2001 has made his home in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Mr. Crispin serves as Chair for the Legislative Committee of the North Carolina Defense Business Association (NCDBA). He has served as Vice-Chairman on the Information Industries Training Advisory Board of the State of South Australia, Lieutenant Governor of Carolinas Kiwanis Division 28, a Board member for the Carolinas Virginia Business Brokers’ Association (CVBBA), Committee Member of the Capital City Club and Cardinal Club Business Alliance, member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He is a former President of Cary Kiwanis and Vice Chairman of its Education Trust and was a distinguished President of Cary Toastmasters.
Graham is an accomplished speaker on business topics to professional organizations. He contributes to the academic community through mentorship of post graduate programs in business (NCSU) and engineering (Duke) as well as scientific and engineering innovation (proposed STTRs with NCSU).
