Suzie Black founded the charity Shambhala Fundacion on the island of Mallorca in 2013 once she became aware of the lack of hope and inspiration to many of the island's disadvantaged youth in creating opportunities to change their circumstances. In 2017 Suzie returned to London and set up Gift of Giving, a talk primarily to give to sixth formers to help the next generation of school leavers develop into open-minded empathetic and compassionate individuals. Suzie shares stories from her journey in creating a charity to inspire her audience into the beauty there is in giving to others less fortunate than themselves. In March 2020 during the Covid-19 crisis, Suzie worked with a number of local homeless charities within London in order to raise finance and awareness of the plight of the homeless to support those outreach programmes suffering during the crisis.
